Describe yourself

I have both a business and computer engineering background. I am passionate about ideas that can change the way we live, especially ideas that involve the way information is exchanged among people and within markets.

I studied computer engineering in college. In my undergraduate studies, I have worked with professors on physics simulations, search engines, and early Facebook apps. While I have a strong understanding of computer science in general, I haven't touched coding for a while. Instead, for three years I worked in management consulting at BCG, advising senior management at large companies on a variety of topics from pricing to growth strategies. Over the summer, I worked at a corporate VC, and spent some time looking at the e-commerce space.

I would say that my strengths are:

- Creating business plans (I have consulted for several startups on a pro-bono basis and helped one win a pitch competition). I have also done this many times for large companies in a variety of industries

- Financial modelling of revenue models. I have a lot of experience doing this both for new initiatives at large companies and also for valuing startups

- Business development: generating ideas for business partnerships, marketing strategies to grow the business. I have done this for a variety of industries.

- Bridging the gap between technology and business. I speak both languages. I understand technology and I can also identify viable business models. I am good at building relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
